Yours, Persephone
Yours, Persephone is a publication about Persephone, the Greek Goddess of spring and queen of the Underworld. More than that, it’s about the roles women fill out of choice, guilt and desperation. In the earliest written record of Persephone, she speaks only once. This book is a collection of various ways women have interpreted her. Flowers are captured in various stages of decay to illustrate her deep-rooted connection to life and death.
Organization
The book is organized into four chapters: Victim, Lover, Heroine and Woman. Each chapter is connected with a season and features different pieces of writing. The Homeric Hymn (green pages) runs through the book.
